Meet Our Board

  • Jen is the Chief Integrated Health Officer at Clinica Family Health & Wellness.  She has been committed to provide quality care through a recovery approach and in strong partnership with clients and community partners for the past 24 years at Mental Health Partners. She was honored to join the ECCBC board in 2020 and be part of the mission to improve the quality and accessibility of early childhood services throughout Boulder County. She believes that the health and well-being of each child is critical for the health and well-being of our entire community.    

  • Sean graduated in 2013 from the University of California Berkeley School of Law with his J.D. During law school, he clerked for the Boulder County Attorney’s Office and Colorado Common Cause. He began his career as a Deputy District Attorney in Eagle County and the 5th Judicial District. He later joined Stevens Littman Biddison, LLC, a private practice firm located in Vail and Boulder, before joining Lyons Gaddis in 2019. He became a shareholder at Lyons Gaddis in 2023.

  • Susan is a retired businesswoman with over 30 years of experience in the administration of employee pension plans and IRAs, specializing in compliance issues.  She provided contract compliance services to the Early Childhood Council  for seven years prior to joining the board in 2022.

  • Jane has degrees or graduate certificates from the University of Colorado, Boulder; University of Colorado, Denver, and Regis University (B.S. Commercial Recreation, Master of Science in Management, graduate certificates: Advanced Infancy and Adult Learning).  Jane is currently employed at Boulder County Public Health as a Child Health Promotion Coordinator in addition to teaching and coordinating Expanding Quality in Infant Toddler care (EQIT) for Boulder County.  Jane has participated in several state and local teams and committees designed to improve the health and overall quality of care for young children.  And lastly (possibly most accomplished), Jane has single-handedly raised two children into early adulthood!

  • Peggy is a domestic relations attorney in Boulder.  She has run her own law practice since 1992.  Peggy worked as a Child and Family Investigator for the Colorado Courts for 20 years and is deeply committed to working to protect the best interests of our youngest community members.

  • Emily is a parent of two young children and a neurodiversity advocate located in Longmont, CO. In her spare time she enjoys dancing, spending time in the mountains, gardening and is currently learning American Sign Language (ASL).

  • Betsy holds a master’s degree in Curriculum Design as well as in English Literature.  Her commitment to a lifetime of learning is exemplified by joining her education to the success of others.  Betsy taught literature for 20 years and then began a 20-year career working with consulting engineering companies to grow and develop outstanding leaders in life and in business.  As Chief Learning Officer at Stantec/MWH, Betsy developed a corporate university to serve 8,000 leaders, managers, consultants, staff and clients. MWH University presented 21 courses each year at three MWH educational centers - Broomfield, Colorado, Sydney Australia and Brussels Belgium.  

  • Mitch has over 20 years of experience in marketing and software development. Currently, he is the SVP of Marketing and Digital Services at the Credit Union of Colorado, where he oversees marketing efforts, community activities, digital banking, and payments. Mitch also coordinates a team that runs the Credit Union of Colorado Foundation, promoting community development by providing financial and volunteer support in education and human services. This mission helps build Colorado communities, making Colorado a better place to live. 

  • With a background in elementary education and administration, Barb brings extensive experience as a teacher, principal, and special education director. As a skilled facilitator and connector, she excels in guiding groups through strategic planning, decision-making, and vision development. Her career has spanned roles as a corporate trainer, business leader, consultant, and mentor—always with a strong sense of humor. 

  • Lauren is from Broomfield, CO and a graduate of CU Boulder. She is celebrating 7 years working her dream job serving the community at Sister Carmen Community Center as a Bilingual Advocate Supervisor. She is passionate about encouraging the most vulnerable members of our community to identify and leverage their strengths. On the weekends she likes to ski, camp, dance and play soccer.
